The new 5mL Five-O" tubes give you the convenience of a 1.5ml tube but a larger working volume. The 16mm tube diameter is identical to the diameter of standard 15ml tubes, which allows them to be compatabile with your 15ml centrifuge rotor. With a temperature range of -86C to 110C these 5ml tubes can be used for boiling or for sample preservation at very low temperatures. The tubes are made of maximum clarity, low-binding virgin polypropylene and are certified RNase & DNase free. Sterile tubes are also pyrogen free.
These tubes have replaced the 15ml tube in many high volume laboratories dramatically reducing plastic waste, storage space and shipping costs. The foam racks are similar to packaging normally associate with 15ml tubes but require 60% less storage space.
