NEW GroMax Baffled Deepwell Microplates

Southern Labware is now carrying GroMax™ Baffled Deepwell Microplates from Microbio. These plates are typically used for culture growth and the GroMax™ Baffled Deepwell Microplates are able to produce up to 60% extra yield over standard deep well plates. The increase in yield compared to a traditional block plate allows for increased recombinant protein production which effectively decreases the scale-up volume requirements. This makes protein expression microscreening and scale-up in E. coli more cost efficient. The GroMax™ Baffled Deepwell Microplates come with many different useful features. These plates increase mixing, aeration, and culture production. There is decreased incubation time, high throughput and reproducible results. The plates also feature high chemical and temperature resistance, raised wells for effective sealing, and precision molded virgin medical grade polypropylene. The GroMax™ brand of baffled microplates (patent pending) is the next evolution in the micro-fermentation. We used 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics to optimize the baffle form and create the greatest surface area to volume oxygen exposure. The continuous cycling aerates the bacterial media and provides a superior growth environment resulting in the proliferation of cells.
