PUREGRIP® Media Bottles with GL45 Filtration Adapter

PUREGRIP® Media Bottles are easier to open, close, pick up, hold, and carry. A frosted surface on the top of the VersaCap® allows for convenient labeling with a felt tip marker. A massive enamel writing surface on the bottle is also included for additional marking. Bottles are extremely resistant to rapid changes in temperature, and the GL45 VersaCap® offers the highest temperature rating in the world for a polypropylene cap, 142°C. A natural polypropylene pouring ring allows for safe, drip-free emptying.

PUREGRIP® Media Bottles are suitable for storing and transporting media, buffers, serum, solvents, and other materials. Each PUREGRIP® Media Bottle is printed with a unique Retrace Code, and all parts are certified USP Class VI. Bottles, caps, and pouring rings are fully autoclavable. Available in sizes ranging from 100mL to 20L.

GL45 Filtration Adaptor

Patented 3-way connection design (M 429664).  Unique ­filtration adaptor can be connected to vacuum source, filter holder and GL45 storage bottle. (e.g.,1000ml, 2000ml, 5000ml) at the same time.

Compatible with various kinds of ­filter holders (with No.8 silicone stopper).  Filtration adaptor can be connected with glass, stainless steel and PES ­liter holders with No.8 silicone stopper for a wide range of applications.

Preventing cross-contamination by one-step fi­ltration.  Ideal for keeping the fi­ltrated solution directly in a GL45 storage bottle without the need to be transferred from the fi­ltering ask.

Resistant to organic solvent, autoclavable.  Filtration adaptor is made of PP material with PTFE O-ring having excellent corrosion resistance to a wide range of chemicals.

Technical Specifications:  

Recommendations for safe use of Puregrip Glassware:

• Wear eye and face protection when working with a vacuum or pressure apparatus.
• Inspect glassware for flaws such as cracks, scratches, deep scoring and etching marks before using vacuum apparatus.
• Assemble the vacuum apparatus so as to avoid strain to the glassware.  The filtering flask should be supported from below as well as by the neck.
• Tape the glassware to minimize projectiles due to the unlikely event of an implosion.  Use a crisscross pattern of filament tape and/or build a enclosre around the flask.
• Use adequate shielding when conducting pressure and vacuum operations, such as a clear acrylic barrier.
• Know the chemistry of the filter flask contents to make sure that they are appropriate for the use under high vacuum.
• Do not jar, strike or drop a flask that is under vacuum pressure.  Also, avoid exposing the flask to unnecessary vibrations from equipment on the same bench, loud music, etc.  The flask should be anchored in place with a ring stand and clamp.
• Use low-intensity vacuum.  Do not use equipment capable of producing vacuum greater that 25 microns Hg.
