Transferpettor™ Positive Displacement Pipette
Positive Displacement Pipette
Starting at $422.75
The Transferpettor™ is the ideal tool for use with liquids that render traditional air displacement pipettes ineffective. Unlike air displacement pipettes, the piston of the Transferpettor™ directly expels the media from the tip, wiping the tip walls completely clean. This results in negligible residual wetting and highly accurate, reproducible results, especially with viscous, foaming, high-vapor-pressure, and other "problematic" liquids.
Product Features:
- Designed for use with high-vapor-pressure liquids including alcohols, acetone and hydrocarbons
- Dispenses surfactants such as Tween® and Mucasol®
- Dispenses viscous and high density media such as concentrated protein solutions, oils, fats, resins, and glycerin
Limitations of Use
This instrument is intended for the pipetting of liquids within the following limitations:
- Use between +15°C and +40°C (59°F and 104°F) of instrument and reagent
- Vapor pressure up to 500 mbar
- Density up to 13.6 g/cm³
- Kinematic viscosity:
- 500µl instrument: 40,000 mm²/s
- 1000µl instrument: 20,000 mm²/s
- 5,000µl instrument: 6,000 mm²/s
- 10,000µl instrument: 2,000 mm²/s
Operating Exclusions
This instrument cannot be used with:
- Liquids incompatible with polypropylene or polyethylene
- Crystallizing liquids as they may damage the seal
Technical Speicifactions:
The Transferpettor™ is supplied with one tip & seal, seal mounting/removal tool, performance certificate, operating manual, and one year warranty.
