Our beaker mugs are made to the same high standards as our laboratory beakers.  Made from 100% borosilicate glass with white, easy to read, graduations and the chemical structure for caffeine.  The beaker mugs are heatproof, ovenproof, microwave and dishwasher safe and have a 400ml capacity.

Properties of Borosilicate Glass:

Our glassware is manufactured from low-expansion Type 1, Class A Borosilicate 3.3 glass that complies with ASTM E438 Standard Specification for Glasses in Laboratory Apparatus.

Borosilicate glass has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. Therefore, the thermal stresses under a given temperature gradient are low, and the glass can withstand higher temperature gradients, as well as sudden temperature changes (thermal shocks). The “strain point” of borosilicate glass is about 500C and it is recommended as the maximum safe operating temperature. The glass may acquire permanent stresses upon cooling if heated about 500C.
