Southern Labware C410 Chemical Resistant Pump

Southern Labware C series are chemical resistant, diaphragm vacuum pumps which can be widely used to hard acidic, basic and solvent vapors by utilizing corrosion proof PTFE on all the wetted surfaces. Through innovative mechanical technology and human considerations, we have made Chemvak C series to be quiet, safe, maintenance-free and cost-effective vacuum pumps.

All wetted parts of Southern Labware series pump are made of PTFE material which can resist most of corrosive gases. Southern Labware C series pumps are driven by Diaphragm, without the need of lubricant, regular oil changes and maintenance; with no oil pollution.  Driven direct by motor with no additional belt-driven transmission; the quality vibration-proof assembly makes Southern Labware C series run at the lowest noise level among all other equivalent pumps.  Every motor of Southern Labware C series pumps has a built-in thermal protection device to shut off the pump automatically when overheated and then resume working when the temperature cools down.

Filtering Flask, Borosilicate Glass, 10L

United brand filtration glassware is manufactured from low-expansion Type 1, Class A Borosilicate 3.3 glass that complies with ASTM E438 Standard Specification for Glasses in Laboratory Apparatus.

Recommendations for safe use of United Filtration Glassware:

  • Wear eye and face protection when working with a vacuum or pressure apparatus.
  • Inspect glassware for flaws such as cracks, scratches, deep scoring and etching marks before using vacuum apparatus.
  • Assemble the vacuum apparatus so as to avoid strain to the glassware.  The filtering flask should be supported from below as well as by the neck.
  • Tape the glassware to minimize projectiles due to the unlikely event of an implosion.  Use a crisscross pattern of filament tape and/or build a enclosre around the flask.
  • Use adequate shielding when conducting pressure and vacuum operations, such as a clear acrylic barrier.
  • Know the chemistry of the filter flask contents to make sure that they are appropriate for the use under high vacuum.
  • Do not jar, strike or drop a flask that is under vacuum pressure.  Also, avoid exposing the flask to unnecessary vibrations from equipment on the same bench, loud music, etc.  The flask should be anchored in place with a ring stand and clamp.
  • Use low-intensity vacuum.  Do not use equipment capable of producing vacuum greater that 25 microns Hg.

Filter Adapter Set, Set of 7, Neoprene

Set of seven neoprene adapter cones designed to fit Buchner and fritted glass funnels, porcelain filters without headpieces, and for reverse flow cleaning of filter crucibles. Adapters can be used to support funnels, Gooch crucibles, filter tubes, and other apparatus in filtration assemblies. These adapters are functional even if not tightly fitted around the funnel stem. Can be used individually or nested with adjacent sizes. Provide an excellent alternative to boring special size holes in rubber stoppers. Autoclavable.

Buchner Funnel, Porcelain, Capacity 4800ml

Porcelain Buchner funnels include fixed perforated plates. Funnels are glazed on inner and outer surfaces except for the rims.

Features:

  • Thermal Shock Resistance - average coefficient of expansion from 20° C to 200° C is 3.56 x 10-5, gradually increasing to 4.69 x 10-5 at 1050°C. Every batch of porcelain is heat tested in our factory.
  • Glaze - No softening occurs up to 1000°C, and it is extremely white.
  • Resistance to Chemical Action - Resistance to acids and alkalies is excellent, except for hydrofluoric acid.
